Amazing garment! Was a surprise at Christmas when I opened the box. Immediately put them on and wore them all day, tags and all. And of course, without a shirt underneath. Fit was great, considering I have a little extra baggage in the midsection. But totally comfortable. Would definitely buy more!... Read More

These are supposed to be seconds but can’t find any flaws. I live in overalls and these are best fitting and longest lasting I have ever owned. And best price I have ever found on them.

  • Excellent bib overalls from Sierra Trading Post
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Woodguy from Wisconsin on Saturday, September 8, 2018
I began wearing bib overalls five years ago when I retired. I have Key, Roundhouse, Big Brother, and Dickies brands and the Carhartt's I recently purchased at Sierra are the first Carhartt overalls I have ever worn. I followed other reviewers and ordered the waist size two sizes larger than I wear in trousers and they fit perfectly. As for the inseam, I ordered my normal length for inseam and again, the fit is perfect. I am very pleased with my purchase of the Carhartt's from Sierra. The overall pockets are roomy for holding my cell phone, legs are roomy and comfortable when you are donig work gardening squatting etc. The quality of the sewing on the overalls is great. These overalls look to be very durable for the abuse I'll give them in my dailty routine of gardening, working in the yard, woodworking in my shop, and my occasional welding projects. Certainly I recommend the Carhartt overalls from Sierra Trading Post and I'll be ordering again from Sierra.

  • “How is the sizing? I wear a 36/36 jean. Is that what I should order for these overalls?”
Asked by Matt from Colorado on 9/12/2018 7:14:41 PM
    • For my husband, they have been true to the size of jeans he would wear.

    • The waist sizing seems to run on the slim side. I'd recommend for you to get a 38/36 overall. (The length seems to run true to regular jean sizes).

    • Order a size larger In the waist.

    • I’m a bit bigger than you. I find it more comfortable to order 1 size larger in the waist. The length tends to be generous. I’m 6’4” and I normally wear a 32 length but I could get by with a 30” inseam. I roll mine up a bit or the back of the pant frays from hitting the ground. These will shrink so consider that fact too.

  • “I ordered a 38x30... The length fits perfect, however the pants ride up the butt and they are extended all the way out... Would I need a bigger waist size or length size? ”
Asked by Jrlofton from Mississippi on 2/14/2018 12:45:07 PM
    • My husband typically wears a 40w 32L and we order a 44. Ordering up in the waist size seems to eliminate that issue for him. Hope this helps!

    • My husband wears a 34/30 pant. When buying bibs, I always go a size or two up, i.e. I buy 36/30's for summer, and 38/30's for winter so he can layer.

    • I would recommend 1 size up both L&W, i.e. 40x32. From my experience Carhartt seems to run small to size and shrink.

    • Occasionally a vendor requests that we not ship their brand internationally and we must honor their wishes, though we prefer not to limit the brands we sell. We continually review restrictions with our vendors to see if any changes can be made.

Asked by Chris from Mississippi on 6/16/2017 4:23:32 AM
    • I usually go up a size in the waist, so you may want to go with 36/34
Answered on 6/16/2017 4:33:01 AM by Chris from Oregon
    • No Sir. I did that the 1st time. They barely would go on. You have to order around 2 sizes bigger. The length is correct as your Jean size. But you'll need to order at least a 38. Plus they shrink a good bit. I wear a 38 pants and ordered a 34. They fit just right. Now I'm talking about carhart. Other brands are different, but they all run somewhat small.

    • I got the same size in bibs as i wear in pants which is 32x34 and they were a little big but after a couple of washes they shrink so they fit me perfect. So if your big in the belly i would go up one size. As far as the length they come a little bit long but once they get washed a couple of times they fix perfect

    • A 34 x 34 would fit nicely. I bought a 40 x 34 and needed a 42 x 34. It's a little tight in the waist. They run true to size.

    • According to our fit team this item is running true to size. However, people often like to go up in overalls, due to the nature of the product fit.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
