Indestructible Jacket for active workReviewed by Shyguy the machinist from Washington on Friday, October 19, 2018I love the detroit jacket for work because of the high waist. It isnt constantly pulling from the hip or getting bunched up as much in a crouch. The gussets on the back really complete the range of movement.
The sizing does run a bit large. I wear a medium in carhartt shirts and the medium is puffy around the torso and upper arms. But thats okay for me since i tend to wear a carhartt thermal lined hoodie underneath it. Also the arms run a bit long especially since im 6'3" and 175lbs.and ordered a medium tall but they are definitely not too long.
Be prepared for a long break in period. The cardboard jacket rumors are true. It takes over a month of full time work to really get rid of that. Its not uncomfortable while its breaking in. Ive read a few places to wash it new to help break it in. But ive noticed its better to just keep wearing it till it genuinely needs a wash. Not on will it help the jacket last longer but it wears in to your body better. Mine always end up fitting me best this way and you will have a unique jacket that wears into your bidy shape
Great serviceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Gerald from CA on Tuesday, October 2, 2018I ordered the wrong size thinking that it would be okay the sleeves were way too long. The return service was fabulous I love having store credit and being able to order another jacket right away. Your service is fantastic!!!
Great, rugged jacket!Reviewed by Bobby Gee from Houston on Saturday, September 29, 2018This is a great jacket, and the only blemish I could find is a small snag near the chest pocket, certainly nothing that will affect the function. This was a great deal! And it will be perfect for most of the SE Texas winter!
Warm and comfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Aaron the Teacher from Illinois on Monday, November 27, 2017I am glad that I got the tall option of this coat as it just covers my torso. The jacket fits well for me (6'2", 310#) and while the jacket is a little stiff from what I am used to, it should break it nicely. Perfect for the guy that doesn't need the heavy coat in the winter but something more than just a light jacket.
