I wear overalls every day and have all my life...and I am pretty picky about what I prefer. I can safely say that these overalls will now be the only style I will buy from now on. The difference in these over the standard Carhartt overalls may be minor, but they make a big difference.

Good quality but size fits to tight above waist.

I am very pleased with these overalls. Built tough, and I can't find why they are considered to be factory seconds. Make sure to order a size or two up if you want them to be a little loose around the middle. I normally wear 38 jeans, but ordered a 40 in these and they fit comfortably.

From the description - "rugged protection for your lower half on tough jobs", it sounded like these overalls had double front and double back legs which I thought would be worth extra money for when I'm running a chipper. The "back leg kick panels" is merely the cuff at the bottom, not the back of the calf or thigh. Next time I will pay for the double front and not the "rugged protection for lower half". Carhartt is a great product and the overalls are still well made, just a little misleading in the description.

No doubt about it - these overalls can't be beat. And the price here is unbelievable! My co-workers were incredulous when I showed them what I ordered and how much I paid. These overalls are comfortable, warm and I can still move around and work. I highly recommend them.

  • “Run big?”

    • Yes, in length especially. I will need to hem mine up - adjusting the straps just doesn't do it. Definitely worth the price though - tough overalls!

    • You would definitely want to get size 36x30 for optimal fit. If you're in a cooler climate and you plan on wearing some thick layers under them, go with 38x30--they'll be a little loose without the layers, but they'll still fit well. These are indeed preshrunk and I have had no problems with washing them. I went up 2 sizes myself because I like to wear wool thermals and a hoodie under them.

    • Hey Trucker - Stick with the 30 length but I'd get a 38 instead of 34. I have a 38 waist and a 42 size fit perfect. You're right they won't shrink much, if at all, because of the nylon. Great overalls, real quality, can't beat the price.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
