These pants challenge you to try to wear them out. My late teen son has been wearing Carhartt work jeans for years. The old ones finally relented due to paint spatter and he just plain grew out of them. I wear this style for heavy work and purchased some for him. They fit well and have a longer rise than the traditional fit jeans. These are prewashed so they won't stand up in the corner on their own. The wash well with average fading and little shrinkage. After working a weekend in them climbing trees, other heavy construction along with some indoor work, he is sold on the style. They are heavier that normal Carhartt jeans due to the doubled front panels. As such, they can be uncomfortable in warmer weather. They excel for use in heavy work, abrasive situations and when you are likely to spend time on your knees.
