2nd to none.

I am a low voltage contractor and I wear nothing but Carhartt pants, jackets, flannels, etc. My first Carhartt experience was with a pair of these double knee ducks. While that was many years ago and those pants have since been retired, they were literally bullet proof. I bought them while I was doing a fire mitigation job. I wore them under my kevlar chaps and I was never stabbed, cut, sliced, burned, or otherwise harmed due to the good ole' double knee duck base layer. Once I bought a pair of fire hose pants from Duluth trading and while they were good they were stiffer as well as more expensive and only lasted 1 year of use. Bottomline: If you work hard for a living (not behind a desk), get some Carhartt son! 2nd to none. period.
