Great midweight quilted bibs. Fit great - look good. They recommend that you get them 3 to 4 sizes bigger them your waist size so you have adequate room and this holds true. Also length should be 2 inches shorter then what you normally ware.
There's are 2nds but I did not find any major flaws... Read More

    • No, it is not red quilted inside. It is quilted with brown and is very warm. I wear fleece lined leggings under the carhartts and my lower half stays plenty warm in 7 degree weather.

    • No, bibs are usually worn over pants. So if pants are 32 then bibs need to be bigger. I wear 6 inches bigger than pant size. Bibs can be loose and still comfortable. One answer is to measure waistline over clothing.
Answered on 12/30/2016 12:09:03 PM by Stinkydog23 from Washington
    • Hi, I bought the same size as I would wear in a jean and they fit just right.
Answered on 12/30/2016 12:36:11 PM by Shirley from Oregon
    • Based on what I bought for my size 38/38 husband, I am glad I went with a 40 inch waist; a 42 would have been OK too. That gives them room to wear sweatshirts or something underneath.

    • That depend on what he is planning to wear with then I got the bibs for my son and he wears other clothes under them so he wears 36 but he wanted them biggger cause he works out side in cold and when he goes hunting
Answered on 12/30/2016 4:35:41 PM by Patti from New Oxford Pa
    • Definitely larger waist size. You don't want bibs to fit snugly otherwise you can't wear underlayers for winter warmth. Remember, the bibs will hold them up, you don't need a snug waist to hold them up. I ordered two sizes larger and wish I had ordered three sizes larger. As for the inseam, order the normal size but be sure you don't get them too long since you can't shorten them because of the zipper. You're usually going to wear them with boots so a little shorter won't matter.

    • I ordered my bibs the same inseam size and the waist 4 sizes larger than my regular, loose fitting jeans. It was a perfect fit for me. My loose fitting jeans are 38 X 34 so I ordered the bibs 42 X 34. This gave me enough room to wear a heavy over-shirt and keep my bib bottoms from dragging.

  • “Are these waterproof?”
Asked by Devin from Pennsylvania on 12/25/2016 7:25:41 AM
    • No , you could scotch guard them
Answered on 12/25/2016 7:33:02 AM by Doug on the cape from Cape cod
    • No. They are duck cloth (like canvas) and insulated. Good for cold, good in snow and mud, not very good in rain. Stays warm when wet, or at least warmer

    • I would say water resistant not water proof.

    • I scotch guard mine and that helps
Answered on 12/25/2016 8:12:17 AM by Ronda from Vermont
    • No, they are not waterproof but Carhartt duck material is so tightly woven that they do resist water somewhat. Also, if you use a good waterproofing spray such as Scotchguard, they will resist water very well and it will bead and run off rather than penetrate.

    • The way Sierra Trading Post gets products and or sizes is by overstock or clearance so getting your particular size is by the luck that they received your size........There is no getting it.........You have to continually check for sizes and products..........like say, The choices at TJ Maxx..............
