Great jacket but their sizing methods badly need to be altered

I always love Carhartt clothing. I have numerous cargo pants, cargo shorts and a few jackets. I am continually amazed that a company which produces such high quality clothing does not seem to understand the meaning of the terms Medium, Large, etc. when it comes to jackets. I am 5'10" and 170 lbs. I take a medium in every properly sized shirt and jacket I own, this Medium is so HUGE that my small wife can fit in it with me? I would need a Small but 1) they don't ever carry Small, and 2) the Small would probably have sleeves that are too short since the sleeve length is fine. I will likely keep this HUGE Medium labeled jacked for the much larger people who sometimes visit and think that it never gets gold in San Diego so I will have a jacket for them. Take a look at the 2 photos I uploaded
