My new favorite shorts, both for work and casual. I've ordered many pairs. Love that they don't have the balloon looking cargo pockets. I'm always carrying a clip knife or a tape measure so the small piece of reinforced fabric on the front pocket is awesome. I get lots of compliments on how nice the... Read More

My husband has hardly worn anything else since these shorts arrived. They are sturdy, well made, and fit perfectly.

My 32 waist was true to size, belt optional. Typical cargo shorts come with a weight penalty from all the pockets especially with the snap closures. But security of items is enhanced with said snaps. I could do without the tool loop. Comfortable, heavy duty shorts excellent for work environment.

They say these are 2nds but I couldn't find any flaws. Quality Carhartt product as usual and a great price.

Got these for male family members as they were constantly ruining regular shorts at work. They like all the pockets and the sturdy fabric even though it's not very soft, maybe it will break in some. I like the patch pockets on the back as most cargo shorts have flap pockets and the flaps get wrinkled and never lay flat again. Getting the right waist size was a little hard since we couldn't compare the fit before buying and we had to send some back but it didn't add too much to the price and we still paid well under retail. I think these will last more than a summer at work for sure. The moss green is a good color for keeping stains minimal.

Very nice, sturdy feeling, more stiff texture than cotton shorts, I get comments that the look great.

  • “Why is there never a size 31" waist?”
Asked by sutryk from Buffalo NY on 7/1/2015 6:52:34 PM
    • In some lines, Carhartt makes 31, 33 and 35 inch waists. In general, the 100% cottons run a bit smaller than the poly cotton blends.

    • I would suggest a size 32. These are cargo pants and look best with a loose fit. My son got a pair to wear to work as a greenskeeper at a golf course and he LOVES these shorts. They are rugged with lots of pockets for tools and gear. I tried to order a pair for myself and they didn't have my size.

    • Suggest you buy a size 32 and use a belt, these shorts run quite slim, I could have purchased a size larger to have "work room". Still a good deal.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
