“Why is there never a size 31" waist?”

  • In some lines, Carhartt makes 31, 33 and 35 inch waists. In general, the 100% cottons run a bit smaller than the poly cotton blends.

  • I would suggest a size 32. These are cargo pants and look best with a loose fit. My son got a pair to wear to work as a greenskeeper at a golf course and he LOVES these shorts. They are rugged with lots of pockets for tools and gear. I tried to order a pair for myself and they didn't have my size.

  • Suggest you buy a size 32 and use a belt, these shorts run quite slim, I could have purchased a size larger to have "work room". Still a good deal.

  • I really don't know. My husband is 5'11 - 150lbs, and the 32's fit him in the shorts. The ripstop isn't a light fabric, but very durable.

  • I really don't know. you would have to ask the manufacturer. Perhaps, real men don't have that small of waist! ;)
