Great jacket!

I am 6'3" 240lbs. First went with XXL regular and was too short so I switched to XL tall. Fits great! The jacket is really warm and can layer when really cold in upstate NY.

  • Good for 2nd String

I do not see why it is "seconds" because it looks good to me. I bought 2 coats as Christmas Gifts, so I cannot yet verify the fit. They were exactly as expected. The Duck exterior fabric is heavy-duty and has a slightly washed-out look which I did not expect, but it is fine. The coat has a little weight to it. I think they will be WINNERS under the tree this year.
  • can't find anything wrong with this

Not sure why it is listed as Factory Seconds. It fits fine, all the zippers work, pockets are all there, no tears, marks, or missed stitching. Replacing a three year old Carhartt that was just beyond cleaning. Have worn it a bout a week now in the 30 degree, windy weather with a hoodie underneath and it has kept me warm.

It's warm and comfortable. Really heavy and will outlast any winter. It looks durable but I haven't tested that yet. The zipper gets a little stuck which makes me drop the rating to 4 stars. Other than that it is a great jacket for an even greater price. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Great jacket! I replaced my husband's old one with this one, and he loves it.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
