Vest is high quality but I would recommend one size larger. I usually order 2XL but they were out of that size so I ordered a 3XL. It fits perfect!

The fit was good, but was too short. If a tall had been available, I would have re-ordered

I bought this vest for use during cool nights and mornings where core warmth is needed and still have freedom of movement and this vest fit the bill. It's warm, water replant the mock turtle neck keeps the heat in. The fit is nice, room for a sweatshirt or light fleece if more warmth is needed. I own a horse ranch and my clothes take a beating from everyday hard use and this vest stands up nicely while repairing fences, stables, I have had down vest that just tear apart if caught on barbed wire or if you happen to brush past a heavy wood post or a spark form a camp fire. I have worn this with khakis, jeans and looks good for casual surroundings. Pockets are ample and placed well. The longer tail works great while mounted on horse back or even while bending over picking up three string hay bales (no Plumber Butt Crack showing)

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
