The top of the arms connecting to shoulder are way too big and stick out like he's a buffed guy (he's 71) and the bottom bellows out like there is a little too much material.

Weird sizing-huge shouldersReviewed by JDC from Georgia on Monday, January 14, 2019I tried this jacket via an order here and have also tried it on in stores and yes, as many other reviews have stated, there is a weird sizing issue in the shoulders. My size is XXL and if not for the crazy wide shoulders, it would be a great fit! Aside from this, it is a very nice jacket. I recommend just taking a close look when you try it on to see what you think! Also, please be sure to look closely at your jacket for the irregularity...at first, I couldn't really notice anything wrong with the one I ordered, but then finally, after looking closely in the mirror, I found a huge issue...one lower pocket was way smaller than the other side and the Carhartt logo patch was also sewn on crooked. Those 2 things are pretty huge. I'm sure most of the 2nds have minor issues and should be fine, but you should inspect closely to be sure you're ok with yours.
Btw, customer service is great so you will never have any issues with returning an item or getting an issue taken care of.

Durable and pragmatic. I would say though that it is cut rather large for the sizing indicated. I"m a Med to Large mostly. I bought a medium and it still feels big. Workable though. Allows for great arm movement without restrictions. Windproof and warm.

Price is half the price you would pay any where else online and even in the stores when there having a sale. You can even buy a matching snap on hood. It comes in multiple colors and its warm. They say there irregulars but I can't tell the difference and not only do they sell Carhartt coats and jackets they sell everything you can imagine from boots and sweatshirts and what ever else your heart desires. Check out sierra trading post there great and prices are wonderful.

I ordered a brown jacket and the stamp is black so it is extremely noticeable. Very disappointed because this was suppose to be a Christmas gift.

All said, a great, comfy feeling jacket for the cold (not even Winter yet!) Maine weather. Maybe I'll put on some pounds like Santa over the next few weeks and it will fit a bit better.
