I have a Carhartt hooded duck jacket, but the arms are bulky when doing active work outside. I got this vest in XL to put over my size large Carhartt full zip hoody. It is noticeably shorter than the hoody, but it meets its purpose of keeping my core warmer and arms less sweaty.

That said the zipper on the vest I purchased is "bunched". The zipper works just OK and looks like it shrunk when washed. Should be interesting what happens to the zipper when it is actually washed.
