Misleading description - great jacket.

Overall, this is an excellent jacket.

My rating of 4 stars is due to some cosmetic discrepancies. For instance, while the description states the hood is attached, other reviewers commented on the detachable hood - the hood on my jacket is definitely attached. Furthermore, the Sherpa lining on my merlot colored jacket was also merlot (and not white as depicted). As previously stated, these really don't affect the function or performance of the jacket (as I would have likely left the hood attached anyway) -- I just felt a little mislead by the conflicting product descriptions.

I would, however, surely recommend this jacket to anyone. I am 5'3" 120lbs and ordered a small. It is a bit big (as Carhartt usually is), but leaves plenty of room for extra layers -- while still maintaining warmth, flexibility, and style. It hit me a little below my hips, giving perfect coverage for movement. The back dips down a little lower, too, for protection from wind and cold when bending over! I broke it in at a chilly high school football game, and was comfortable the whole time. I'm excited to use it for chores and recess duty this winter!

Another note - STP is the ONLY place I'll buy (the otherwise grossly overpriced) Carhartt brand!
