I normally wear a medium in almost everything (I'm 5'8" 165lbs), but I tried on a different Carhartt and the medium felt big, so I ordered the small. Fits perfectly and I love the way it looks. Haven't tested the waterproof ability of the jacket yet, but very warm for me.

The jacket is a bit bigger but I see it as room for growth :). but overall the jacket feels nice and looks pretty sharp. I was looking for something for the office and this is going to be a great jacket to wear every day. As for the experience of buying at Sierra Trading Post online, this was my first time I purchased something with them. I actually bought a different jacket and when I received I realized I bought a similar jacket before and was not really thrilled about. So I followed their exchange/return steps and it was a smooth experience. I chose to get credit with them since I had found this jacket. Sent the original purchase back and after they received it I had my new jacket in my possession the following day. The timeline for this was about a week or right at a week, I will definitely be purchasing more items from STP.

Fit is a bit large, had to return my first coat to one size smaller. Still have lots of room left, would recommend order 1 size lower if your order this jacket. I usually do not have a problem with Carhartt sizing but this one is definitely is larger then normal. Other then sizing issue it is a great jacket, good size pockets, a little bit heavier then some but feels and looks well made. If this is a second I can see no issues and the price is right. If your looking for a great rain jacket for walking the dog or working in the rain this is it! Thanks Carhartt / STP!

Tough synthetic duck canvas feel, very durable construction, looks good and is super functional.
Not super plush like some m ountaineering parkas but a really incredible value!
