Carhartt Needs a Tape MeasureReviewed by Wanderer from Asia on Monday, June 11, 2018Ordered a 34in waist. Tag says 34in waist. Fit matches a 36in waist. Tape measure says 36.5in. The rest of the pants fit like a 36in waist pair of pants would on someone with a 34in waist - ridiculously loose (they are relaxed fit to start with). This has happened multiple times now with Carhartt - the least they could do is get the basics right. Now I am working over seas and have a pair of pants I can take on and off without every unbuttoning them. Thank you Carhartt and your incredibly inaccurate tape measure.

Loved themVerified Buyer Reviewed by Kim from Mississippi on Saturday, March 4, 2017I ordered these for my son. I was unsure of how he would like this particular type of Carhartt jeans but he loves them.

Linden jean carhartt pants.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Robert the tree trucker from Oregon on Tuesday, November 8, 2016Like the fit and some what carpenter style. Description needs to be clearer. Doesn't say they are irregulars and picture doesn't depict the wash style.
Inseam Roller CoasterVerified Buyer Reviewed by photojon from Chicago suburbs on Sunday, November 6, 2016I love the design of these jeans. They are very comfortable, without being baggy. The little bit of give in the fabric makes that work. The leg pockets are sized to be useful, but not huge like cargo pants. But the drawback with these is that the length of the inseams can be way off of the tagged inseam length. I have purchased three pairs of these on three different orders. The first pair was an inch and a half short, but I kept them. I liked them enough to order another pair with the next longer inseam length. These were a little too long, but over time shrunk to a perfect fit. This pair became my favorite ever pair of jeans. So, I ordered the third pair recently in the same exact size. Alas, these are a good three inches longer than the good fitting ones, even though the tags are the same. Sending them back for an exchange would cost almost as much as I paid for them, with two way shipping. I'm going to check with a local taylor, to see if they can be shortened at a reasonable cost.
Nice pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by TimJ from Seattle on Saturday, June 4, 2016Fit true to size. I usually wear a 36, but they only had 38. With a belt they work.
Read the description carefully ; (Reviewed by Weeks, B. from New York on Tuesday, May 10, 2016You know the olde' saying: if it's too good to be true".. the price was right up my alley, so I jump on it, figuring the low price was due to the season change from heavy to light wear. Well like my title says read the desc carefully. I didn't see 2nds (or it didn't register), but these are irregulars and after 1 wash they show why they are. I bought 2-pair Item #7354J-01-42-30 and 1-pair Item #22312-27-42-30 they all shrink some and the the bottoms on 2 did some sort of contortion act.. Needless to say I am disappointed in my purchase, especially since I've been a fan of Carhartt gear for decades.
Great work jeansVerified Buyer Reviewed by Billy from NY on Tuesday, May 10, 2016Good fit and the "flex" is amazingly comfortable . Almost like wearing sweatpants. I wish they had it in more styles as these are clearly "work jeans" with the doubled heal area.
High quality jeansVerified Buyer Reviewed by -DrEAM from Los Angeles area on Saturday, March 5, 2016This is a high quality pair of jeans -- soft enough to be comfortable when wearing and tough enough for working outdoors. Here are a few mostly positive impressions:
--The bit of stretch is great throughout and keeps the material from binding.
--The stretch is not visible so the jeans so not look different than all denim jeans.
--Carhartt promotes these as sitting at the waist, but they sit below the waist like most other jeans. They have a short to moderate rise which doesn't allow a roomy fit in the crotch area. Ideally, this model of jeans would allow a bit more movement room in that area and have a longer rise to allow the jeans to actually sit at the waist and not cramp and pinch the gear.
--The color is a somewhat darker/dirty blue which I did not think that I would like. However, I am liking it more with use.
--There is a handy cell pocket on the right leg. My iPhone plus sticks out of the top about 1.5 inches. This is a great convenience and works quite well.
--There is a long and slender pocket along the left leg, too. It is approx one inch wide and I can't figure out what it might be intended to hold. Anyway, it doesn't detract from the look and maybe I will carry a pen there when working outside.
--Front slash pockets are rather narrow at the top, but otherwise about the same as other jeans. No innovation here.
--Rear pockets as expected.
--Some doubling of material at the rear of the bottom hems. Adds to rugged looks and may help with wear.
--Advertised as relaxed fit and they are without looking sloppy. Roomy in leg, thigh, and seat. A big miss (two actually) was not adding a longer rise and not relaxing the crotch. It would be great if these jeans could fit more like a favorite pair of chinos.
All told, high quality and very close to being a favorite.
