I generally wear an extra large but this one was simply too big and I returned it for a large. The shirt itself, is well made, heavy, and undoubtedly will be warm in winter and the colder months that tag each end of winter. Recommended.

I own a Carhartt Youngstown Flannel Shirt Jacket that I purchased at an earlier date from another distributor. It's different than this one I purchased from Sierra. It has a different feel to it right from the start. The first one I purchased is a little heavier. This is closer to a flannel shirt (not a jacket). I purchased an extra large because that is the same size as my original one. I washed it when it first arrived just like I have washed my other youngstown flannel. It shrank up so much I'm going to have to try to find someone to give it to with short arms. Ive washed the original one many times and it hasn't shrank at all.

i love almost everything about this shirt warm ,comfortable, looks good, it fits perfect everywhere except my arms the sleeves seam to be about 2 inches short . I bought the extra large regular because I thought the extra large tall would be too long.

    • These are not only well made shirts, they look and feel good..I got two and they sure are not seconds in my book..carharts are full sized shirts and thats another reason I love them and Sierra has the best prices and service bar none..

    • Well, if they're seconds, I'll be darned if I can figure out why. I now have two of tem and can't see anything wrong with either. I liked the first one so well, I ordered a second one. And they are warm. Good winter and cold weather shirt.

    • The shirt my husband received did not show any defect and it is same quality as other shirts he owes. However, this may vary shirt to shirt. We never had problems with 2nds

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
