Reviewed by Hourglassia from Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, August 25, 2012Basically, what Ms Chaya said, except that there was no XL left, so I couldn't compare to see if that worked any better for me than the L. The top fits, but it's too snug across the hips. I usually wear a 14 in knits.
Alas; I had high hopes, from the picture.
- Best Uses: Date Night, Party
- Cons: Runs Small, Very snug across hips
- Pros: Interesting shape, Pretty color olive
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Busy Mama from Western NC on Thursday, August 23, 2012I was looking for a cute, comfortable, "everyday" summer dress to wear around town for errands. This dress is flattering, but not what I was looking for. I sent it back.
- Best Uses: Date Night
- Cons: Too clingy, Very Low Cut Neckline
- Pros: Seems well made
Reviewed by Ms Chaya from ABQ, NM on Friday, August 17, 2012I really like Carve clothing & usually I can't go wrong with either a L or XL. However, I 1st bought this dress in a Size L. I thought I was going to faint dead away when I saw the looked on me even with a shaper brief. I nearly thought I might have to call for assistance to remove the thing once I got it on! I replaced it w/ an XL & thought for sure this one would work out. I put it on and WHOA: your could see EVERY single bump, dimple, and even practically every mole on my body through the dress! Not because it's sheer, but because the dress it truly figure hugging! Tried it again with some one of those supershapers, the kind that come up to your bustline (hate 'em) and even THEN you could see the shaper underneath! Very disappointing!
Then there's the issue of the cut of the hemline. It's not just a straight sharkbite hem, but rather resembles the beginnings of the kimino-type sleeve, which weighs down the hem making it bottom-heavy & also making it hang a bit strange.
It's too bad that a dress with so many possibilites really needs to be reworked or worn by a Size 0-6 young female in great shape. This brand can be fun & colorful, but unless you fit the above profile, you need not bother with the Paris dress.
- Best Uses: For a skinny person, For Barbie, Perfect figures
- Cons: Figure hugging, Hemline a bit off, Low cut, Runs Small, Too clingy
- Pros: GOOD BRAND, Nice Style, soft fabric, Versatile, Well Made
Verified Buyer Reviewed by PBarnaby from Boston,MA on Monday, July 30, 2012Loved this dress but returned it for a larger size. Fit perfect in some places but scrunched up in others.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Onegreenbee from Singapore on Thursday, June 28, 2012I am broad shouldered and not sure this style is the most flattering on me, but the overall fit is good, and this will work for casual wear or work. (bought the medium---140 lbs and 5' 8")
