I tend to need arch support and although these don't seem like the arch is high just by looking at the foot bed, they are working out just fine. I've been wearing them from Day 1 with small cutback socks (leaving my ankle bare around the top) and not having any rubbing or blistering. I could walk in them for DAYS! My only concern when I first opened them was that the rubber sole is very squishy and made a loud squishing noise when I walked across my hard floors at home. That's kind of dissipated now, I don't notice them making noise anymore & I've only been wearing them for a week or so. Go for it!

They are nicely made with a sturdy, grippy sole. In fact, I was a little concerned that they might be "too much shoe" but they don't feel heavy when I wear them and they don't look bulky. The sole has very deep treads which would be problematic if you wore them anywhere muddy but considering they are white, I expect I will be avoiding that type of terrain.
The insoles have great support and were comfortable to wear from day 1.
The leather is smooth and I love the color. Note: there is no padding at back near the heel/ankle so bear that in mind if you have sensitive feet. I wore mine with low socks so I did not have any problems.
