Reviewed by jb from CO on Friday, September 8, 2017I can understand some of the reviews. I skipped the instructions and just tried to use this. It didn't work. I did remove the film separating the batteries (which keeps them from draining prior to use). I failed to place the three pronged back plate in the correct orientation. The switch is external and requires the cover be aligned to make it work, but you can screw the plate on in two other positions which seal the compartment but defeat the switch. It's fine; not amazing, but for $5 you get two batteries worth about $3 + a light. Cateye should have made the plate only work in one position to make if more foolproof.
Reviewed by jojo from Minneapolis on Thursday, July 13, 2017This one last about as long it takes to mount it to the bike. Absolute junk, and not worth $0.50 in my experience. I had 2 and they both lasted about 5 mins.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kyle M from Chattanooga TN on Wednesday, June 14, 2017After seeing these in the clearance section I almost didn't order them after reading bad reviews about shipping with bad batteries. 8 bought two anyway and clicked their power buttons when they arrived. Nothing. Clicked and held, nothing. Then I read the instructions and saw that there is a piece of plastic between the two batteries that has to be removed before you can use them. Runs great now! Good little light to toss in my work bag incase I end up out later than expected and need to be seem coming home!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Handydon from Florida on Tuesday, March 21, 2017They simply would not turn on
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Stephen from Alabama on Tuesday, March 7, 2017Mine shipped with a dead battery. I'll updated once I get around to changing it. Seems like a nice light to keep on the bike when I get stuck riding a little later than planned.
