Great sandals

I've worn my Birks for 6 years. They haven't died yet, but they are close. I saw these and I have 5 other pair of chacos--only two of those are sandals. So, yes, I purchased them. I love them. Now, they are only a month old, but my other chacos are now years old and doing great so my expectation is ... Read More

  • Ouch!!
Reviewed by Don B. from Arkansas on Sunday, July 1, 2018
I got these on a good sale, and really like the styling, but the top rear strap continues to rub blisters on my foot. The design is such that the stitching on the inside strap just tears into the skin on the top of my foot at a very focused point. I had hoped that a break-in period would change that. I have worn these a lot and tried to just "push through the pain", use athletic tape, etc., far it's not working. I hate to go so far as to wear socks with sandals, but for these, it might be justified!

These are nice sandals with a somewhat longer break-in period than expected. The first time I wore them, I walked 4-5 miles in them, and ended up rubbing blisters on the tops of both feet. But I decided that was my fault, not the shoes'. After a couple of weeks of just wearing them here and there for brief periods of time, they've broken in pretty well. I walked about 3 miles in them the other day, and my feet were just fine. No blisters.

These are well made, high quality shoes that should last for years. I'm happy I bought them. I just wouldn't plan on walking around in them a lot at first.
  • Well made, great looking, causes blisters

Bad blisters on top of my foot from wearing them only a little. Will probably get better after they are broken in, but can't recommend buying. Well made and nice looking otherwise.

Sent as a gift. Receiver loved them, citing their high quality and comfort.
The twin adjustable buckles are a nice option. Also, got an excellent
    bargain at STP.
  • Meh

Bought these for husband. He didn't like them, we returned. They seemed nice and durable and true to size, but he wanted sandals with a deeper heel cup more like birkenstocks. He thought these would slide off his feet while walking.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
