Chaco footbeds are comfy
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Meggy from Midwest on Thursday, November 2, 2017
I have loved my Chaco sandals,so I decided to give these boots a try. The foot bed is very similar to the sandals. I have had Plantar Fasciitis issues for years ,and I find the arch very supportive. The quality of the boot is very good and great looking too.

  • Love!!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kristl707 from Washington State on Saturday, October 6, 2018
I love these boots. I normally wear a size 8 in shoes and usually order 8 1/2 in boots. I went with an 8 1/2. I’ve only worn them twice but I am not disappointed. Unlike other reviewers I did not find them overly stiff right out of the box. They’re comfortable and I love the arch support. And they’re super cute!!!
  • Chacos are Always Great
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jen from WASHINGTON on Monday, September 24, 2018
I just converted over to Chacos sandals this summer and liked them so much I wanted some boots for winter so I ordered these. They are stylish and of excellent quality and I can tell that they will last a long time. I do agree with many reviewers that they have a higher arch than the sandals do but I plan on either getting used to it or simply replacing the insoles which is an easy fix. The first day I wore them, I did get used to the arch. They are also stiff like many have said but they will just take some breaking in I'm sure. I love the green color as well!
  • Narrow

Very narrow stiff boot. Nervous about keeping because can’t be sure until break in how it will go. Tight on the top of my foot, great footbed. Color isn’t as weird as I thought it would be. Wish it was a little wider toe area and not sure why it is so stiff.

I have been a loyal Chacos lover for 15 years. The sandals live forever and they provide me with better support than any shoe I've owned! I was excited to find out that Chacos has been making shoes and boots and these did not disappoint! The arch support is exactly what I need and cannot find in any other brand! I was so excited for the support that I did not plan for the breaking in process and got a little heel rubbing but otherwise they are perfect. They are true-to-size and once broken in they will be my favorites for sure.
  • Overall Rating is really a 0

Purchased directly from Chaco, however, so disappointed with these, felt it was best to warn others.
If you plan on hiking in these boots, DO NOT BUY THEM! Within 3 weeks of use the soles were peeling off and then a chunk of the sole came out. Many emails back and forth with Chaco... was told 'result of wear and tear'... 'this style was meant for casual wear' (really? product info says hiking)... 'wear on this boot in the amount of time owned (3 weeks) shows improper use' (again, hiking not allowed???).

  • “Where do i find green shoe polish to polish these shoes?”
Asked by Loretta from MN on 2/5/2018 9:14:26 PM
    • I'm sure it exists somewhere but personally I wouldn't polish them, perhaps use a boot wax. Or let them age organically.
Answered on 2/5/2018 9:38:49 PM by Gloria from Right here
    • These are hiking boots! I'll use leather cleaner/conditioner, and maybe a leather waterproofer. Despite my 32.5yrs of military service, it never occurred to me to polish these boots (and i still have a couple shoe-shine kits).

That said, if you're in urbanite, I suppose you could use neutral shoe polish...but these boots weren't made for city walking.

    • Most shoe stores carry a variety of shoe polishes in colors. I am referring to an actual shoe store, not a department store or shoes within another merchandise store. I find great selections more easily found in the western part of the US as cowboy boots come in many colors. One owner told me if you can’t find the color you want try neutral to polish the surface. These particular boots will always look distressed that’s the nature of the leather. Amazon always has a selection of many shades, including greens.

    • I’ve not been able to find colored polish, but leather cleaner/conditioner in clear works very well. I’ve had my boots for several months, and by using a leather conditioner, they still look new.

    • Ok I just checked with Chaco on this. They recommend just cleaning and conditioning the boots. If you wish to polish, select a color neutral one.

  • “Can anyone share firsthand your opinion of the color "blues" and how it compares to the pictures on the website? Everywhere else I search for pictures show very bright blue that I'm not fond of, but STP depicts a more muted version; what do they look like in real life???”
Asked by DukeAA from MS on 1/25/2018 6:03:49 AM
    • I don’t have the blue but have the green and it is muted. I just love them, very confortable.
Answered on 1/25/2018 6:09:50 AM by Loretta from AZ
    • On my smartphone the colors in the website are pretty close to the actual color of the boot. The darker blue is a medium navy not as dark as indigo and the blue near the sole is much brighter blue (cobalt or slightly lighter). The laces are as light as the color near the sole and lightweight cotton. For durability they need replacement.

    • The pair of boots that I bought are true to the shades of blue that my computer shows on the STP website. A word of caution, colors depend on monitors and screens.

    • The color is really Navy. Just the strip around the sole is a brighter blue, matches laces, but still muted. I loved my blue ones so much, I bought them in green also. Love them!

  • “I'm trying to decide between an 8 and 8.5. My toes definitely touch the front of the shoe in the size 8, but the 8.5 feels a bit too roomy. Does anyone know if the 8 will stretch out some as I wear it? ”

    • These may stretch some as they are leather, but we do not have any specific reviews on that yet.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
