I have plantar fasciitis and Chaco's are a God-send. I fell in love with their sandals about 10 years ago and I now that there are shoes and boots I wear them all year long. I am always happy to find them on a great deal. My teenage boys even think these are cute! My feet are rather wide and these f... Read More

Ordered this in the hope that the Chaco Kanarra would work for me. I have issues with my feet and need a supportive shoe.
This shoe is wonderful. Fit is terrific. My first wearing was attending a design market where I was walking a lot and on my feet all day. No issues at all! I will use the heck out of this shoe. They look terrific, too. Beautiful and distinctive. And, what a terrific price!
I've put Chaco on my list for future purchases.

I wanted some shoes that were comfortable that I could wear with jeans or slacks...casual friday type stuff. These fit the bill. I ordered 1/2 size than I usually wear and that was the perfect fit. I'm very happy with the comfort and they look great.

As other reviews said- these shoes are very wide. I wear a 7.5 in Chaco sandals- ordered the same in these. I think I could have done with a 7. They are great looking- very substantial shoes. Good sole. I bought them to walk in- I typically walk 3-8 miles a day. The only drawback is that they are a heavy shoe- not sure if that is just because my other shoes are so light. Overall, I'm impressed- was able to walk 6 miles right away with no issues.

I liked these initially but after wearing them a couple of times I felt a tendon at the back of my ankle "snap". I put off wearing them for a few days until the tendon felt better and then wore them again and it once again started hurting. Not sure if the shoe collar sat too high or the heel was off but I had to send them back.

This is my second purchase of these shoes (bought because I'm worried they will go out of production and I love them so much, so I am stockpiling). Super supportive and surprisingly water resistant, there is plenty of room for orthotics, if you use them. I prefer a narrow shoe, and these allow you to lace nice and snugly without material folding/overlap. While the soles don't have as much traction as some other 'off-road' shoes I have, I walked in the slush recently and my feet stayed dry and I stayed upright! Cute enough to wear (here in Seattle) with a casual skirt, these are my new go-to's.

  • “I have a wide toe area. Do these run wide or narrow/”
Asked by nurse/outdoor girl from Maine on 1/17/2018 11:27:03 AM
    • I'd say pretty standard, but the lace layout allows for easy adjustment - I have super narrow feet and can tighten them so they are comfortable, or expand to fit orthotics. I'd say the toe area is a little boxy.

    • I have wide feet and bunions. This shoe has a wide toe box and is perfect for wide feet. It has a removable insert, so that you can also use your preferred orthotics. It is a very comfortable shoe overall, especially in the toe box.

    • In my opinion, they are wider than the typical women's tennis shoe. I personally cannot tolerate a narrow shoe box. I have thoroughly enjoyed these walking shoes.

    • I have a wide toe box too and these fit that well. I also ordered 1/2 size larger based on other reviews and got a perfect fit.

    • I have wide feet and they fit nice! I went with a half-size bigger and had plenty of space. I like to wear thick socks as well.

From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
