Chaco VS Teva

Haven't owned a pair of Chaco's since college. Replacing my Teva closed toe sandal and saw these on close-out. Loved them right out of the box. Chaco quality and good looks. Comparing to my Teva's they are a little hotter to wear as they are fully closed with mesh vents around the entire sandal. Tha... Read More

  • Lightweight, feel the ground, supportive, breath
Verified Buyer Reviewed by FV from Massachusetts on Wednesday, July 11, 2018
I wear these everyday to go to work or shopping, or light trails. So far they are holding up really well with wear or tear. Easy to slip in and off. I especially like that I kind of feel the ground, but at the same time the sole is well padded and supportive. I walk 5 miles everyday in these. Great all around summer shoes.
  • Good wet wading solution
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Deano from Sierra foothills on Monday, July 2, 2018
I fly fish a lot and, in the summer, I like to ditch the waders and just go in shorts and shoes or sandals. Since getting the Chacos I don’t use my sandals anymore and my feet are much happier. The Chacos would get 5 stars if they kept out all sand (nearly impossible) and had felt soles. Still, I like them and would definitely buy them again.

i've been wearing chacos since they first hit the market. compared to the sandal...less arch support and they run small.
it's a good shoe for what it is. good price compared to other brands. but i wish their quality standards were what they used to be

These shoes are very comfortable and are perfect for the trail hiking I do, which involves river swimming/crossings. The design allows water in without the annoying pebbles. Excellent traction also.

  • “How can these (and other Chacos on the site) be both minimalist and supportive (Luvseat)? Thanks!”
Asked by Amber from Colorado on 3/8/2018 11:17:23 PM
    • Thank you for bringing this to our attention, these are not minimalist. We will have this updated.

  • “is toe box ample such as keen?”
Asked by Powell from NC on 8/17/2017 3:40:51 AM
    • My husband has these and has worn Keens and thinks that they are comparable.
Answered on 8/17/2017 5:41:10 AM by Aggie from desert grassland
    • Yes. Not quite as large as my Tevas but about the same as my Keens. Much, much lighter than Keens though and way more support as it is more of a very ventilated shoe.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
