I wear 11w in Chaco sandals and i have an 11 in their shoes too. I went with a 10.5regular in these shoes and they fit well.
The footbed is like the sandal; so it's not cushy.

I love these shoes and am sooo sad Chaco is not making them anymore in a nice-looking leather. I have 2 pairs - one in black and one in brown. They use the same base as the sandal and attach the leather upper right onto that base. This is unlike most of Chaco's other shoes that use a softer midsole that isn't nearly as supportive as the firmer sandal base. Most people don't understand that a firm support base is much more comfortable than a cushy midsole if it fits right. If I could somehow use the firm base in all of my shoes I would.

All that being said, I wear my shoes nearly every day for work and have been doing so for over a year. They still look new. Great craftsmanship!

I really enjoyed the comfort and easy strap of the Chacos. They are just what I wanted. The only thing I would have liked better would be that they were smooth leather instead of suede. I did add some leather conditioner and they darkened up and became slightly shinny, but they are still more of a matte finish. But overall great shoes that slip on and off easily without feeling loose all the time.

I wear these all day at work, on my feet constantly in the hospital. I have a pair at home I wear everywhere. They're waterproof and have the same insole/outsole as chaco sandals that I love. they are very comfortable.

Excellent footwear! Same super contoured footbed with nice arch support as you'd find on a pair of Z sandals, needing a little bit of wear/break in to become home. Fits true to Chaco sizing, but might be about 1/2 a size larger than your average footwear. The waxed suede scuffs pretty easily but in a good vintage "I'm actually used" sort of way - if you need them to look perfect I'd recommend another choice in material. Same beloved soles that will keep you from slipping/sliding long after the tread is worn. Very comfortable, though the upper strap and material right out of the box are a little stiff and take a couple wearings to become comfortably pliable. And of course fashion is subjective, but these are dang stylish. Highly recommended!

The shoe is a well built with a couple of flaws. First the strap fit is off the instep making a pressure point . Then, the shoe is very heavy for a casual shoe. They are good looking. If I had been able to try them on first . I would not have purchased them.

  • “How similar the sizing/fit to other Chaco sandals? For example, I usually wear a size 12 shoe, but a size 11 Chaco sandal. Recommendation? ”
Asked by Rusty Shackleford from Tennessee on 12/6/2013 10:14:42 PM
    • I wear a M11 sandal, but found I needed the M11.5 PedShed to be able to fit socks. Even after a break in period, the M11 were too tight with anything but the thinnest socks.

    • Rusty,
I'm not sure how to answer your question. I wear the same size Chaco sandals as other shoes, but that might be due to the brands and types of shoes I wear. With athletic shoes, I wear a 10 or 10.5 depending on the shape of the toe box. If you're in doubt, order both and return the one that doesn't fit.

  • “What's the difference between REG & MED widths? I need a slightly wider toebox to fit my fred flintsone feet... I ordinarly wear a 8.5 or 9, depending on the shoe maker. I checked out some Chacos in a local camping store and 8.5 fit well with socks, I didnt check out if the shoe was REG or MED though. or is the same anyway?”
Asked by greg from Austin on 10/16/2013 1:10:28 PM
    • The medium is the same width as the regular. We have two separate listing because of a receiving glitch.

  • “I live in my Chacos sandals in the summer. Size M-10 which fit perfect. I'm flat footed so my only concern is the arch support I'm reading about but I really want these shoes for the upcoming cold season. Should i go w/ a size 10 or 9.5 since they run large? Also width suggestion bc I'm flat footed? The sandals have never been an issue w/ arch support. Curious”

    • According to our fit model these are running large. We recommend ordering a half size smaller than your normal shoe size.
