Great chaco sole, cozy, not that warm

I was looking for a warm, slip-on shoe for the winter months and I love Chacos so naturally I decided to try these out. Chacos are really great at running true-to-size, and while this pair fit the width and length of my foot, the top of the shoe was really snug and made this "slip-on" shoe rather difficult to put on. It was painfully tight across the top of my foot and after trying to break them in I couldn't put up with it any longer and returned them. I was disappointed by this shoe comfort-wise. I still am a big fan of Chacos and will keep looking for something else!

I first ordered the clog style but they weren't secure enough for me for outdoor wear so I tried these. At first I thought they were too stiff and would rub my heel but just a day or so and they broke in. They are so comfortable that I can wear them all day. The rubber inner sole is very comfortable and sometimes I feel like I m wearing bedroom slippers. The outer sole has good traction but they are not water proof. I've been wearing them everyday and they do not show wear (much) after several months.

These Chacos are well made, true to size shoes. Unfortunately, the arch hit my foot in the wrong spot, so I couldn't wear them. The soles are fairly stiff, which I need in shoes.

I bought these hoping to use as a daily walking shoe in Ireland, but they're not going with me. They're are not super comfortable, they have a stiff feel to insole and structure. They don't seem to have any stretch or give, they feel loose & stiff. They are also pretty clunky-looking in person. I'm not returning because of shipping cost, but I would if that were free. I guess I'll wear 'em around, but... maybe I'll just donate them to Savers.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
