These sandals are incredible! The old Updraft style with the hard plastic heel riser were great but occasionally would dig into my heels. This pair went back to the old fabric style heel riser and they are great! I love the Vibram sole, it is comfortable, lightweight, and great for hiking since it g... Read More

Comfortable and adjustable to any foot. I sometimes have a hard time finding a good fit from sandals, but these adjusted to my feet very well. The foot bed material compresses very well for extended comfort. Will look to chaco in the future.

I wear a 12 1/2 in all my shoes I ordered a 12 from the websites advice to order down for half sizes. Way to small, toes hung off the end and to narrow. Sent them back for a 13, perfect fit, have not taken them off since. Get these shoe's but if your between sizes order the larger size too be safe.

Strap with fastener is a bit short - the fastener ends up on top of my foot instead of to the side as shown. All Chaco's seem to have high, firm arches, which may not suit all feet - it's a tad too high for me but acceptable. As for performance, they are comfortable for hiking & have good grip on wet / loose surfaces. Toes are rather exposed, so not that desirable for crossing streams with slippery rocky bed. Did not kick out of the straps in a 1 1/2 mile swim, unlike with many water sandals I have purchased.

Obviously a great product, however there is a pressure point on the inside of my foot. I have a medium to narrower fitting foot. I am wearing these around the house in the hopes that they 'break in' and I have noticed that the fit is getting better.

I will come back and update my review in a few weeks.

I have never owned a pair of Chacos, but after reading so many rave reviews I decided to get a pair. When I went to place my order they did not have anything in my size for Women's 9 1/2, so I ordered these in a Men's 8 and they fit perfect! I am very pleased. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on. I love the easy adjustable straps. I will definitely get another pair in the future.

  • “is the sole on this sandal non-marring / marking?”

    • They are non-marking soles.

    • Definitely! It's the same great vibram I'm sure you have come to love and trust, just like I have. I seriously love these sandles, I have even worn them fly fishing for a day. They were grippy in and out of water.

    • First, I have been more comfortable in these sandals than any shoe I've ever worn and I'm a 68 year old woman. This sandal with its endless ability for adjustment is the perfect shoe for me. Plenty of support for your arches, light weight and did I mention the infinite strap adjustment which is a quick process. I've put these right in the washer and they come out looking and smelling like new. They are attractive so I'm comfortable wearing them everywhere. In answer to your original question - yes they should fit perfectly (especially considering the ability to adjust).
In short they are amazing and the people at Chaco are friendly and knowledgeable just like the great staff here at Sierra Trading.
I hope I've been of help.

    • B or C, huh? Certainly I'd go for the 8. If that seems too big, then try a 7 an a half. But you might hang over? For sure, try the 8 first.

    • I would think if you got the 8 and 1/2 it would fit. Obviously, I can't be sure.

    • I have a measured size 9 foot, medium. Ordered a 9. It looked like a life raft on me! Ordered an 8, perfect fit. Go figure.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
