Great support, a little stiff at first

I've been an avid Chaco sandal wearer for 6 years and am always sad when cold weather means I have to put them away, so finding these tennis shoes was exciting. They have tremendous arch support and are very sturdy with a thick grippy sole, so I expect that they will be good for hiking in cooler weather or when I need something more protective than sandals. The only issue I've had is that after walking around in them for half a day my right foot began to hurt where the leather strip below the laces meets the canvas area over the toes. This is right where my toes bend, and I think the leather was digging into the top of my foot as I stepped. This was not an problem with my left foot, and I'm hoping that it resolves as I continue to wear the shoes and they relax a bit. Otherwise, my feet are very comfortable in them!
