3.0 out of 5 stars. Great quality, but too wideVerified Buyer Reviewed by LDGoodman from Georgia on Tuesday, October 16, 2018This is a nice boot of good quality, though not as comfortable as other hiking boots I have worn. Would be a great around town boot though. It's just too wide in the heel for me. I have narrow feet but can usually wear a laced shoe or boot fine. My heel slips in this one though even with mid-weight hiking socks. I had to return the pair.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Bad soleReviewed by Jon from North Carolina on Wednesday, March 21, 2018Had these boots nearly 3 months before the soles on both boot came undone from the toe. Luckily it was within their 90 day return policy. Comfy boot but more for show than any type of work...I guess don’t get em’ wet or wear them outside:(

4.0 out of 5 stars. YonderVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mackladd1 from Atlanta, GA on Monday, March 19, 2018Not bad so far. Have worn 5 days in a row. Relatively wide toe box, nice, and "grippy" soles.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Works fineReviewed by smoke from Northeast California on Thursday, March 8, 2018As soon as I got these, I waterproofed them with mink oil/leather HP. I broke them in with short hikes and walking around town. As was stated by others, had to buy a shoe horn to get them on and off at first because they were so tight-old fashioned shoe laces were new learning curve? After a month now, still use the shoe horn, but a lot less problem-go right on. I wear them on my daily hikes and around town and love the high arches and heavy duty soles. I was worried that they were not high enough to keep my feet dry in the places I usually hike because of the melting snow, water and mud, but no problem so far-my feet are dry. I mink oil them after every walk. They are very comfortable and I enjoy wearing them. I spend allot of time in the back country, camping, fishing and hiking and while I'll wear high top Red Wing leather boots in snake country, these boots will still be with me. Wonder how they would work with gators-hmmm! I would rate these as excellent heavy duty hiking shoes or light duty hiking boots and would wear them around camp or even on on a medium back packing trip or long hike anytime. If they had more 9.5 size boots I would get another pair.

5.0 out of 5 stars. 10 starsReviewed by NotDeadYet from NC on Friday, February 23, 2018I've worn Timberland boots since the 80's and I was a little apprehensive about getting boots from a company that specializes in sandals but the price on these I couldn't pass up. The quality of these boots is superb. For me these boots fit true to size and required very little break in. I got these and wore them a couple days and decided I wanted another pair in a different color so I came back to order some more but was out of luck. Nothing in my size and I believe Chaco has stopped making them. What a shame because these boots are quite possibly the best I have ever worn. I would give these 10 stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Stiff Sole, Soft UpperVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ski Demon from Tahoe on Wednesday, February 21, 2018These boots feel very sturdy. The sole is thick and stiff and appears to be made for off roading. The upper is very light and soft around the ankle. I ordered a half size up and they fit well. I cant say how well they are going to wear over time, but my initial impressions are that it is a great looking and comfortable boot that might not fare as well at the worksite or on the trail. Ask me for another review in 6 months.
