Adjusts to most any foot size

This was my first time buying Chaco sandals, but it probably won't be my last. I love how the strap slips through the sandal footbed, allowing you to adjust it as needed. I often have trouble with sandals fitting me well, and when I heard about this design, I knew I had to get some.

I usually wear a 10.5-11M, so I took the advice of various reviews and sized down to a 10M. The footbed seemed to fit pretty well, but unfortunately, the straps were ridiculously long (so long I would step on them). I've read that cutting the straps will void the warranty, so that wasn't an option. Chaco will shorten the straps for a fee (Chaco support wasn't much help and was disappointing in my quest to find the right size), but I decided to try a 9M first and I'm glad I did.

My feet are nearly hanging off the footbed off the 9M, but not quite. They're still supported properly and the straps now fit great. I haven't worn a shoe smaller then a size 10M in at least 30 years, since I was teenager, but I do in these. For reference, I wear a 10.5M in Merrells, an 11M in Nike and a 11.5M in New Balance, but apparently I'm a 9M in Chaco.
