Outdoor Delight

Great shoe at a great price. I always have two pair of shoes: athletic sneakers (no particular brand, just whatever's reliable & a good deal at the time) and a pair of Chacos. I wear the Chacos more than half of the year, anytime it's not too cold. They're especially great for outdoors when you're going to get muddy or wet, since there are no socks to keep dry, and they can easily be hosed down. We have a 2-month "rainy season" where I live and these are indispensable.

In the past I had the Chaco Z/2 (actually, I've worn those for the past 4.5 years and they still haven't worn out), but I wasn't as big a fan of the toe strap as I expected myself to be so I finally decided to switch. (STP's super price on these helped me decide!)

Sizing note: I usually wear 8.5 wides, though I can sometimes get by in regular width 8.5s. In Chacos, though, I need the wide, but wear size 8 (so in my case, size down, not up). You may want to print out their sizing chart from their website, or, even better, find a retailer to try it on.
