They're heavy (I have size 14s and they're like 1 lb per sandal) but that's because they're a hiking sandal. It takes a few times wearing the sandals for a few miles until the straps become a little softer. The first few wears may cut your feet a bit.

  • “Can these be worn in water for poolside and in the pool?s”
Asked by scott from charlotte on 7/21/2017 7:09:06 AM
    • Chaco's are meant to be worn anywhere, including water. They are great water shoes. The soles on these are sturdy, so they are good for light hiking as well. They last forever. Highly recommended.

    • These are specifically listed as being for water, but I would think that it would be fine.

  • “Will you be getting anymore Chaco Z1 sandals in 10M in stock?”
Asked by Marc from Auburn WA on 7/13/2016 6:15:48 PM
    • Due to the nature of the closeout business, we often receive items in limited quantities. Therefore, popular sizes and colors can sell out quickly. Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered. We suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. You will receive email notifications of our newest stock items.

    • So both my husband and son do not toe loop. My husband wore his all over Italy. He wears them hiking as well. All the 20 something guys I know wear the toe loop and hike and basically live in theirs. So this is no help I am sure. My daughters all wear the toe loops. Go Chaco!

    • The Z/1 (wrap around foot model) versus the Z/2 (toe loop model) for me is an easy analogy. I prefer Z/1's as my feet are not stressed at all provided the strapping wraps around food through midsole are not too tight. With the toe loop, I found that my toe is uncomfortably stressed with my circulation affected. I did order one z/2 a couple of years ago and immediately returned for an exchange to a z/1 style. I have three residences on earth--Uganda, U.S. Virgin Islands and Tennessee so I keep minimally 3 pairs of Z/1's in each location.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
