VERY skeptical at first; now I love them

I'm a younger guy with *really* flat feet. My left foot is exactly a size 13 (by Brannock Device) and my right foot is a little over.

I gave up flip-flops and tried finding a good "technical sandal" aka "sports sandal." There's really only two such sandals accepted by the American Podiatric Medical Association: these and the ECCO Yucatans. Tried out the ECCOs. They were nice, comfortable, but too easy for my foot to slip around in, plus they definitely weren't made to be trashed around town, etc. Clearly for more of an older wearer.

The good: The single strap system is awesome. Weird at first, but ultimately the best. By securing, and I mean securing, your feet in place the sandal becomes a part of your foot! It also has excellent arch support.

The bad: I think they may be a little shorter and narrower than one would expect. Perfect size for me, but my feet are like really close to the edge. Not on the edge, but close. So I imagine if I were a 13 1/4-1/2 these probably wouldn't have worked. Another thing: because of how flat my feet are, it seems like my feet are "thin" so I have to pull the strap pretty tight and have this big slack that I tuck into the rear strap. Not a big deal though. If it really bugs me, I could probably fix it if I knew how to sew / had a sewing machine.
