I love these shoes! My 6 year old daughter has worn them every day since they came and they are holding up wonderfully. She can get them on all by herself!

  • “Do these have the great Chaco arch support? In the youth size it is listed, but not in this size. We need the arch support!”
Asked by Outdoor mama from NoVa on 8/21/2014 1:18:43 PM
    • These shoes do have arch support. For really high arches it may not be sufficient, but should be fine for normal arch support.

    • Yes! My child has had four pairs of these shoes in increasingly larger sizes. They have a ton of support and the ability to cinch the "laces" up to increase support. We were told about Chaco shoes by our doctor as a way to deal with foot and leg pain.

    • Yes. My daughter really liked them.

    • Yes, I checked my daughter's shoes and they seem reinforced in the arch area. They are not very high in the arch, but are definitely not flat and provide better support than her running shoes.

    • As far as I can tell they seem to have the Chaco arch support. The insoles are completely stitched in so I can't tell by pulling them out. My kids can't really give me that kind of feedback (too young). I am going off of looking at the inside of the shoe with a flashlight and running my hand inside the shoe. I compared the feel to their sandals and some other non-Chaco shoes and the they feel comparable to the sandals and more support then other brands of high quality athletic shoes.

  • “Do these tend to run big or small? My son is closer to a 2 1/2 than a 2, but I don't want to buy too big. Any suggestions?”
Asked by MomKat from North Carolina on 2/26/2014 12:18:37 PM
    • For both of my boys, they were true to size.
Answered on 2/26/2014 3:27:04 PM by Colorado Mountains from Colorado
    • Hi there. I bought full size larger and they were roomy. I would suggest from my experience to buy 1/2 to full size to get at leSt 2 seasons.
Answered on 2/26/2014 3:36:21 PM by Livinlife from Ohio
    • My son is a size 1 and the size 1 fits him perfectly, they seem to be true to size. Even if you buy a 3 and they're a little big your boy will be in them within a few months anyway (ah, how they grow) and they are really nice shoes. My son has been wearing his for a couple months now and they're great.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
