I read that Chaco has a very loyal following and now I see why. I wouldn't be able to afford the full asking price for Chacos but at Sierra Trading Post's reduced price, I decided to try them. They are the most comfortable sport sandals I've ever worn! I normally wear a 8 M dress shoe and 8.5 M runn... Read More

I have only gotten to wear my new sandals three times because of this cold Spring, but each time I found them very comfortable and received compliments on them. Chaco is known for the arch support and these don't disappoint. They look and feel like they should last for a number of years!

I have had a black pair of chacos sandles for about 13 years and they are still in good shape so could not resist buying these when I saw them on sale. So cute and comfortable.

My fiance and friends are avid Chaco-wearers and I think they're very practical, durable shoes, so I finally caved and got some. They're not my favorite shoes in the world to wear because they're heavy and so structured, and I'm a supinator/underpronator so it feels weird to me, and I do have to stretch my calves a bit afterward, but they are getting more comfortable with time. I did have to take a break to let a blister heal (walked 2.5 miles with my fiance on the second day I had these, oops). But I think they will last a long time and can be good for running errands or even hiking. It's just an adjustment for someone who normally wears things like Vivobarefoot sandals!

    • I would say it depends on your foot width. It might be good to size up if your foot is wide. It is not the widest sole.

    • They fit me as my regular size. I wear a 7, ordered a 7 and they fit fine.

    • Hi Erin,

The official Chaco recommendation is to size up if you're a half size -- i.e. if you wear a 6.5, get a 7. My "street shoe" size is 6, and I wear 6.5 in running shoes, and I ordered size 6. My toes don't have a ton of space in front of them but they're also not hanging over, and it feels like the correct fit overall for me. My heel is nicely cradled where it's supposed to be, arch is where it's supposed to be, toe straps hit in the right spot, etc. It's a comfortable fit for me, and I think if I had sized up to 7, I would've felt like I was dragging around clown shoes. I hope that helps!

    • My feet are size 5 1/2, and I wear a 6 in Chacos. (I have a high arch and instep, and with the size 5's the straps are too tight,)

  • “Does this shoe have an easy buckle? Click in and out?”
Asked by Tracy from Calgary, Alberta on 2/27/2018 11:54:46 AM
    • No click in and out. However you get the straps to fit your foot and then pull the buckle down. Very easy to use and makes the shoes very comfortable on your footl

    • Super easy. You just pull up on the tab to loosen to slip in and out and then pull to tighten.

Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered. We suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
