I read that Chaco has a very loyal following and now I see why. I wouldn't be able to afford the full asking price for Chacos but at Sierra Trading Post's reduced price, I decided to try them. They are the most comfortable sport sandals I've ever worn! I normally wear a 8 M dress shoe and 8.5 M runn... Read More

These were a great deal (I saw the same ones on Amazon for $100, got these for $60). They are mostly comfortable, I wore them for 4 days straight on vacation with a lot of walking. After the first day of wearing them for 10+ hours straight, my big toe and pink toe were sore from how the straps rub, but not too bad.

I usually wear a size 9.5 but was told to get a size 10, and some sites suggested getting the wide size. The shoes are wider than expected and I probably could have gotten away with the average width. The shoes fit great otherwise, BUT the straps have to be tightened all the way which worries me if they loosen up over time. The strap is long and I have to tie it so I don't step on it and trip, but my friend suggested cutting the excess strap and burning the end so it doesn't fray. Tying works fine though!

Love them ! I walk about 5 miles a day and they are working out great! I’m looking to buy an additional pair without the toe insert !

These sandals in 10M are true to size, and adjust nicely for my low volume foot. They're very comfortable, and I'm surprised they didn't blister the side of my toe after a few miles of walking. They will be fine for light hiking.

Absolutely love these sandals!! I was looking for a neutral color that I could wear with anything, and these fit the bill. I just recently discovered the Chaco brand and after trying them on realized why they are so popular. I love that the straps can all be adjusted to fit your foot perfectly, and the arch support is amazing. No issues with ordering or delivery. All went smoothly and I’m very satisfied with these sandals. The price is unbeatable!! 1/2 the price as what I found in local stores. A week later purchased some men’s hiking shoes as well (1/2 price again!) and no issues. Arrived promptly and shoes fit great! Very satisfied with my experience ordering from Sierra Trading Post and with the products delivered. I’ll be back!

  • “I apologize for asking yet another question about sizing but I want to make sure I order the correct size. I typically wear anywhere from an 8 to 9, depending on the shoe. Although I have a tendency to get a bigger show because I want to wear the shoe right away and don't consider the break-in fit. I wear a size 39 in birkenstocks that fit fairly well. I had a pair of chacos years ago but they always felt clunky. Unfortunately I can't remember the size but I'm afraid I got a bigger size because I didn't account for breaking them in. My foot measures 25.4 cm. The size chart says the 8 is 25 cm while the 9 is 26. Which size should I go with? ”
Asked by Kylie from Colorado on 5/7/2018 9:46:10 AM
    • If your foot measures 25.4cm I would imagine a 26cm shoe would fit you better than would a 25cm shoe.

    • Hi,
My foot measures 24.89cm and I bought a 9. When I first put it on, it was a little snug, but the great thing about Chacos is that each section of straps is adjustable. You need to consider how wide your foot is. I have very wide feet, so I needed to move up. There is not a lot of space in the front and the back to respond to your concern about it looking clunky. I don't think there is as much a break-in stage with Chacos as there is with Birkenstock because the straps would not expand over time in the same way. If you don't have really narrow feet, I would advise the 9. I hope this helps.

Asked by Erin from Gettysburg, Pa on 4/3/2018 5:04:36 AM
    • I would say it depends on your foot width. It might be good to size up if your foot is wide. It is not the widest sole.

    • Hi Erin,

The official Chaco recommendation is to size up if you're a half size -- i.e. if you wear a 6.5, get a 7. My "street shoe" size is 6, and I wear 6.5 in running shoes, and I ordered size 6. My toes don't have a ton of space in front of them but they're also not hanging over, and it feels like the correct fit overall for me. My heel is nicely cradled where it's supposed to be, arch is where it's supposed to be, toe straps hit in the right spot, etc. It's a comfortable fit for me, and I think if I had sized up to 7, I would've felt like I was dragging around clown shoes. I hope that helps!

  • “Does this shoe have an easy buckle? Click in and out?”
Asked by Tracy from Calgary, Alberta on 2/27/2018 11:54:46 AM
    • No click in and out. However you get the straps to fit your foot and then pull the buckle down. Very easy to use and makes the shoes very comfortable on your footl

    • Super easy. You just pull up on the tab to loosen to slip in and out and then pull to tighten.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
