You: 'I've heard so many great things about Chaco's but is it true?'

Me: YES! it is, I bought my first pair in August and put over 100 miles of walking, biking, etc. on them while backpacking in Canada and they're still like brand new.

This is my first pair of Chacos and I finally see what all the fuss is about! It took a little time to get the straps adjusted how I wanted but now they are super comfortable! I got them to replace some Teva's I bought last year that gave me horrible blisters. No blisters at all with the Chacos! I wasn't sure about getting the Volv series Chacos but I really like that they are lightweight and they still seem durable. I wore them to wade in a local river to fly fish and the only issue I really had was rocks and sand getting stuck under my feet which I think would happen with any sandals.
Also, the pattern on these shoes is adorable! It actually made me sad to wear them in the river and get them dirty. I may need another pair for regular use!

I was unsure about buying these sandals. Chacos have rave reviews online. I decided to give them a shot. And so far I'm really glad I did! They have taken some time to adjust the tightness to my comfort level. I just wore these sandals on a 3 day long walking tour during the summer. They were great! Very comfortable. I was impressed at the level of support they provided. Looking for another pair!

First pair of Chaco's thru Sierra trading post, came quickly and had no issues. Sandal itself fit perfectly, have to mess around with the straps to get a good fit. So far about 8 miles with them and im starting to get a hot spot but hopefully with some buildup and breaking in I will eventually love them.

These are definitely the most comfortable Chacos I've ever owned. I previously have had various other styles, but the lightweight (Volv) have fit my feet (and my minimalist travel needs) by far the best. I have lower arches, and I think the Volv style definitely works better for those of us that have flatter feet.

    • Hello Retta, I have several pair of Chacos. I wear a 10 in all my shoes and order the same in Chacos. I believe an adult 5 would be a full size too small. Hope that helps.

    • Hi. I usually wear size 8.5 or 9 in most shoes/boots, and size 8 Chacos fit me perfectly. I had to adjust the straps to fit my foot, and they have stayed in place. Comfy!

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
