Toestrap nightmare

I have scars on my pinky toes and the bridge on both my feet from the strap material. I've owned them a year and still have to adjust the straps everytime I use them. They are painful when they get wet, the material is just rough and chaffed my feet at every contact point. My big toes get horrible circulation from the straps and it's worse from the normal swelling of hiking. Just a normal 8hr day in the classroom and I kick them off by midday. The size is right and width, but it's really the double strapping- there's no getting it perfect for both feet. I met two other women with the same issues and disbelief. It's like they designed a "cute" sandal but sacrificed all the functional reasons buyers choose chaco sandals. Stick to the traditional style, your toes and feet will thank you!
