Great looking boot. Though they are 2nds, it's difficult to pinpoint where the issue is. More than likely it was a QC issue with either the instep of the right boots leather vamp or the overall boot as except for a small cut in the leather the boots appear to be perfect. Either way, for this price I feel like I stole them. Contrary to the other review I found the shoe to run just a touch less than a 1/2 size large. My boots have no lining though (which may also be the QC issue) If there was a lining I would guess that they would fit perfectly true to size. I wear 12 in most boot brands and found these to be just slightly large while wearing Kirkland merino hiking socks. They are also only in EE width. So those with a supremely narrow foot may struggle.

Aside from the very minimal size issue these boots are quite amazing. They have a very cushioned leather insole and the Vibram crepe sole does a great job of combating fatigue and shock. They are not as cushy (or heavy) as my Thorogood Roofers but these are no cork soled Red Wings either. The color I have is slightly more brown than red but seems to redden as the leather is broken in. It really is a beautiful boot. I can't wait to get these scuffed in a bit!

Overall, I really like these boots and would suggest them to anybody looking for that rare cordovan lace to toe.
  • Nice boots, but run small

Well built, but run much smaller and narrower than other boot companies
