Great find, will wear for college classes. Light vibram sole, smooth interior with half leather insole (comfortable). Like other American lasts (Timberland), runs 1/2 to 1 size larger. I usually wear a 10W in Saucony, Johnson-Murphy, but bought a 9W in these Chippewa Mocs and they fit perfectly.

The shoe is much too wide for my foot. Although it appears well made my foot is narrower and the shoe is also quite heavy for me.

Very well made shoe. Do not order your normal size. I wear 10W and had to order 9.5M to get a fit. Even then it was not snug.

Seemed well made they are at least a full size large. I returned for a full size smaller. I am looking forward to wearing them. I'm also glad to see them made in the USA.

Excellent shoe, but runs very large, especially length. I normally wear an 11.5. I read the 7 or so reviews before I purchased and ordered an 11. That was too large. I returned for a 10.5. That was too large. The 10 I finally got was good, but even this shoe I put in tongue and heel pads.

The 11.5's I normally wear are cheap imported shoes, Maybe that is the difference. They often run small.

Also, this shoe has only two lace holes. Most of my other shoes have more. Plus, it is real leather, not plastic leather, and does need some break in.

After wearing frequently for a couple of weeks the width is snug, but not uncomfortable.

I am confident the shoe will fit even better with time.

It is unusually heavy, but it is superbly made and is resoleable.

For me, $75 for a $200 shoe is a good purchase.

Great shoes. I usually wear a 12, sometimes an 11.5 but taking the sizing advice I ordered an 11 which fit well though they are a bit wider than most other D widths. I think they are great. Like the Bison and made in the USA features.

  • “Is the insole removable or is it sewn in?”
Asked by spot from Central MN on 8/4/2017 11:28:10 AM
    • Half insole is removable. Moccasin style means upper leather wraps entirely around foot and is stitched to itself first. The sole is sewn to bottom of leather mocassi .
