Smooth and crisp

Bought because of Christy quality in towels previously purchased from Sierra. Sheets are high quality, well sewn and so comfortable. Smooth and crisp as expected from percale. Only washed once, so can't comment yet. So pleased with queen set I bought for my son's guest room that I bought this set i... Read More

  • Great Quality

My only “complaint” is it seems like sheet manufacturers are now making their sheets extra large these days. I think a lot of people have replaced those pillow top mattresses with the foam ones, so we no longer need the deep pockets and extra lengths. Otherwise, I love these sheets! The colors are exactly as shown in the photos. They’re lightweight and crisp. I was happy to see that after washing, they weren’t nearly as wrinkled as I expected. I only iron the pillow cases because I leave them on top of the bed cover. The added detail makes them look somewhat like a sham, and they easily hold even my husband’s extra firm (overstuffed) king size pillow. I’ve purchased these sheets three times now.
  • Cool Yet Noisy

It's odd to say sheets are noisy but these are. My husband says they sound like paper. For light sleepers that could be an issue. They are very cool & comfortable, not as soft as Sateen but still very nice. They fit the pillow-top mattress well.
  • nice thick percale sheets

The last set we purchased from STP 3-4 years ago and they lasted all this time with DAILY usage before they tore through. These are thicker so hopefully will go even longer. They are still at the 'too crisp' stage but I think they will soften over time (and more washes) . TC not super high (250) but not sure that matters. they are super slick now and after one wash almost feel like and sound like nylon...but not sticky in any way. The quality seems nice and the pillow cases even have a nice little flap on them. pockets are very deep and top sheet has plently of extra on the sides to cover down to the bed rail.

About Christy of England

Why are Christy towels so incredibly soft and absorbent? On a rewarding journey to Constantinople in the 1840s, Henry Christy discovered a luxurious loop-pile towel fabric and knew he’d found something special. Crafting the soft cotton pile into a bath towel, Christy presented it to Queen Victoria, who was immediately smitten. Like nothing the western world had ever seen (or felt), these absorbent linens were quickly dubbed "Royal Turkish Towels," and thus the legacy of Christy bath towels began. Christy towels are still crafted from the absolute finest in Turkish cotton or Egyptian cotton, and many Christy towels are still woven in the company's traditional Cheshire mill. Christy also produces high-quality bathrobes, bed linens and bath accessories like washcloths and tub mats. Indulge in a first-class experience and discover the luxurious cotton in Christy towels… finely crafted to ensure you receive the royal treatment each and every time you bathe.
