They are comfortable, warm, waterproof, and durable. The first pair lasted 5 years with almost daily wear from November to April, and are still staged next to my back door so I can slip them on to shovel the deck, take the dogs out, or fill the bird feeder.

I tried them on a hiking trip in northern MN and they worked great. I was wearing one pair of thick socks and had no uncomfortable rubbing on my ankles like others had mentioned. They worked great for me. My feet remained warm and dry.
