Versatile shortsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Easy peezy from Oreong on Monday, February 15, 2016I understand the criticism I read about the elastic nature of the waste band, but decided to try anyway. With use of the padded liner, the waste band works fine. I also like to wear the shorts for casual use without the liner and that is when the waste band can be an issue. I got the medium, listed waste size 31"-33". I am a 32" and fastened all the way, they are still a touch too loose, but manageable. In my opinion the medium would be best for 33" to 35" waste. Overall I liked them, nice fabric and stitching.
My takeReviewed by Jerry Norton from Saint George, Utah on Wednesday, September 2, 2015These didn't have any reviews when I ordered, so here's my take.
I ordered both Pearl Izumi Canyon Cycling Shorts & Royal Racing Matrix Mountain Bike Shorts with these. They were both cheaper than these. They both fit me better. I think what it is is the waist on these is too insubstantial for my taste. At first I thought I should have sized down one size. But there's just not much of a waistband. I cinched in the side adjuster straps, but all that does is pull the fly apart. These do have belt loops, where neither the Pearl Izumi Canyon Cycling Shorts nor the Royal Racing Matrix Mountain Bike Shorts have belt loops. So you may solve the problem with a belt.
My solution is to return them.
The other two I put them on and they stay up. These are gonna fall down without a belt.
