Verified Buyer Reviewed by Karl from Columbia SC on Friday, July 28, 2017These shorts are super comfortable. They're perfect for shorter rides around town. Especially when the plan is a casual ride to a bar. The shorts are tough but a soft feel and a bit of stretch in them
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Commuter from Maryland on Wednesday, June 14, 2017I have only used them once for biking but these are very comfortable and well designed pants. Pockets are sufficient to carry everything you need for urban biking.
Reviewed by PTEP from NOVA on Thursday, September 24, 2015When I first got them I was hoping for a more casual pair of shorts that was technical enough for riding. When I got them they were waaaay tighter than I had expected. I'm a 32 waist, so ordered the medium and the legs were stretched tight... not exactly daily wear shorts. Tried the large, which were still sort of tight in the thigh but way too big in the waist. So I returned them.
Fast forward a season and I've owned the Medium's again for a while and love them. I realized I don't need to use them as casual shorts, but they're perfect for commuting to work or general riding on weekends. They still look like 'normal' shorts when i'm riding to work or walking from my bike to the office. I'm also getting more into road biking, and these work as a great alternative if you're not quite ready to dive into full whole spandex/lycra kit. They stretch, they're durable so far, and they're all around great for riding.
They aren't exactly daily-wear casual shorts, but the do fit a purpose and I'm a fan.
(front pockets are a little shallow though...)
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Frank from Kansas City on Saturday, August 29, 2015First off, these shorts are a lot more stretchy than I figured they'd be, which is great. They are super comfortable, and pretty good looking. The reflective strip on the left (traffic facing) leg seems really worth while, the belt loop reflector seems like something that's going to have a shirt tail over it most of the time.
My chief complaint is that the front pockets are very shallow. I think they're designed to make it easy to grab stuff from them. Unfortunately that also means that stuff can just fall out when you sit down.
Far as fit, I've got skinny legs, and have plenty of room in these, especially given the ample stretch.
