I bought an XL for an adult (5'3" 125 lbs). It fits very well, even a little loose in the shoulders and torso area. I would probably buy an L next time but I'd expect the sleeves to be a little shorter, maybe above the wrist.

I have bought a number of these for my grandchildren from STP at wonderfully discounted prices. They wash up really well and don't pill. My only reservation is sometimes they are a little short in length.
