I am 5' 10" in height so a regular length pant is usually too long for me and requires hemming. I like that this pair was made for 'shorter' people and therefore the pants fits perfectly without any alterations.

    Columbia'a xxl is usually dead on, but these pants were too small. What a disappointment with respect to such a great deal.

    I bought these for a friend who works outside and recenely moved from a warm southern state to the cold north. They are perfect! Waterporrof, insulated and fit is perfect so even where some fleece undersneeth if needed. They look nice too!

    • i've used in rain and snow, the seams are taped. The material is similar to GO--T-X. ( I HAD A SMALL RIP ONCE AND EXPOSED THE MATERIAL. ABOUT 60 GRAM POLYESTER INSULATION AS WELL ACCORDING TO COLUMBIAS WEBSITE. THEY'VE NEVER LEAKED.
