I have bony, flat feet with bunions. I needed a sock that wouldn't itch and would provide me with cushioning and support for my hiking boots which I use in the city mostly.
These socks feel divine and a similar product would cost $17 in the specialized sports stores. I'm ordering two more.

  • “I have never hiked before but am going to climb Kilimanjaro in the summer of 2013. I am purchasing equipment for the trip. I know I'll need some good socks for hiking - and ones that will keep my feet WARM and DRY. How would these compare to smartwool socks? I have smartwool socks and LOVE them but have only used them in Michigan - not hiking mountains. Any thoughts, info would be appreciated!”

    • These would be a good option for your trek.
