Reviewed by ITGuy in Colorado from Colorado Front Range on Friday, December 13, 2013Bought this jacket as it waterproof and windproof with a hood. I wanted a jacket that didn't look like a ski/mountain jacket but had the features of those types of jackets. This jacket seemed to be what I was looking for. I have never owned the Columbia brand before and was somewhat skeptical of the Omni-heat feature. I thought it might be a gimmick but I was wrong this jacket worked great during a recent cold snap here in Colorado. We have been having below freezing and sub-zero temps. This jacket proved to be quite warm without wearing a sweater or fleece pullover. In fact i found that if I did layer up I would be sweating before to long. The only complaint I have is the material inside the collar isn't very soft and it is a high collar that when fulled zipped and buttoned covers your mouth. It comes up to my nose. Works well to keep me warm but isn't soft. Otherwise I like it, not bulky and windproof haven't tested the waterproof claim.
Reviewed by Jay from sussex county nj on Tuesday, December 10, 2013This coat is everything Id hoped it would be. The omniheat liner kept me warm in temperatures down in the 20's. It also has plenty of pockets including a chest cell phone pocket. I would definately recommend this product.
Reviewed by Jeepin 09 from Wyoming on Sunday, December 8, 2013Pro- Good price for a Columbia jacket
Lots of pockets
Summary- Let me explain my comments, the coat although fits me for my actual size, I didn't need to return it for a exchange because it did fit well in the shoulders and the length is great. The coat feels very bulk and in the other sense feels too light to be warm. Almost like wearing a oversize garbage bag. There is a lot of coat and not a lot of insulation. It just feels too thin to be a winter coat, although you could wear a liner underneath , then a person should of bought the bugaboo.. I just expected a little more bulk for a Winter coat.
Reviewed by Bob from Brooklyn N.Y. on Monday, November 11, 2013I love this coat, it fits and looks better than I had hoped.

“I'm looking for a winter jacket that is good for snow blowing. This jacket sounds good as it is light weight and waterproof but is it good for very cold temperatures for an hour or two?
The jacket probably will keep you warm but how depends on many factors. It will also depend on how you layer under it.
