XL SHELL PIT TO PIT MEASUREMENT (LAYING FLAT) IS 27 1/2 IN. 27 INCHES AT THE BOTTOM SKIRT. 32 INCHES FROM BOTTOM OF COLLAR TO BOTTOM HEM. I PREFER THIS SIZE AS IT FITS OVER SEVERAL LAYERS AS AN OUTER SHELL IN ZERO DEGREE WEATHER.
LIKE THE JACKET. HAVE USED COLUMBIA OMNITECH INSULATED SKI PANTS FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS FOR HUNTING. VERY WATERPROOF AND EQUAL TO ANY OF THE WATERPROOF MEMBRANE LAMINATES THAT I'VE OWNED IN THE LAST 25 YEARS. THIS IS THE FIRST COLUMBIA JACKET I'VE PURCHASED, AS I WAS SKEPTICAL OF THE OMNITECH UNTIL I HAD TRIED IT FOR A WHILE. THIS ONE HAS THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF POCKETS. 2 CHEST ZIPPERED. 2 HAND POCKETS ZIPPERED, AND 2 SNAP POCKETS THAT ACTUALLY HAVE 2 SNAPS FOR EACH (ONE IS HIDDEN IN THE FLAP). THE WEBSITE SAYS IT HAS 100 GRAMS OF INSULATION. THE JACKET WEIGHS THE SAME AS OTHER JACKETS I'VE OWNED WITH THAT AMOUNT OF INSULATION. APPEARS TO BE NONE OR VERY LITTLE IN THE HOOD. COLUMBIA DOESN'T USE 2 WAY ZIPPERS, SINCE THIS ONE HAD SNAPS AND WE'RE ON HORSEBACK A LOT, IT WORKS FOR US (OTHERWISE WE WOULDN'T HAVE PURCHASED IT). QUALITY IS EQUAL TO ANY WATERPROOF LAMINATE JACKETS WE'VE OWNED IN THE PAST. AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT !!!
