Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Cape Cod mom from Massachusetts on Saturday, January 18, 2014I bought this jacket for my daughter, for walking around on the college campus during cold, rain, sleet, snow here in Massachusetts. So far she loves it and it is working out well for its purpose. It keeps her nice and warm, and I love that it is waterproof so it keeps her dry. The only thing I didn't like so much was the shorter cut of the jacket. If you want your lower body covered more, get something else. However, my daughter likes it the way it is. It seems to run true to size but it is a fitted-style coat so the fit is trim. If you want to wear heavier clothes under it, you may want to go one size up.
Reviewed by Runs with Candy from Illinois on Monday, October 7, 2013I haven't had a chance to wear the coat out yet, so this review is just a comment on sizing--runs small small small! I'm about 5'3'' tall, around 130 lbs. I started with a medium, which was almost too small to zip up. (Disclaimer, I am a curvy person). Moved up to a large, which fit better, but would have been impossible to wear with anything but a t-shirt underneath. The sleeves on the XL are too long for me, but I may end up keeping it because I like the looks of the coat and previous reviews on quality. Still debating which color to keep--the purple (I believe the description calls it "blue") is quite handsome, but the green/green option is also fun. Hopefully, the warmth and quality of the coat makes all this size-dithering worth it. Note on the main zipper--seems a bit thin, even close to skimpy. We'll see if it holds up. Columbia is a quality product all around.
Reviewed by active hiker/tae kwon do from pittsburgh on Tuesday, March 19, 2013i purchased this coat after my old columbia jacket of 7 years started to look worn. I had to return it because i did not like the arm pit ventilation. the jacket ran small to size as my previous jacket was a medium and i had lots of room. i have not been able as of yet to find a similar jacket to replace my current one. Columbia is still the best coats around .

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Thai from Ithaca, New York on Thursday, February 14, 2013This jacket is great. It fits well (I ordered a small and am 5'3" 120 lbs), is not too bulky, but there is room for a hoodie or jacket underneath. It looks really sharp. The only problem is that it is not completely windproof. I go to Cornell University in upstate New York, and sometimes the wind chill reaches -9 degrees fahrenheit... This jacket is NOT ENOUGH to keep me warm! I would recommend this jacket only if your winters don't fall below 20 degrees or it is never that windy...
